I have a Descent connection, im below 100 ping 99% of the time.
today i turned on the computer and had Chat Delay, Delay before the skills are being used and just General lagg.
Mine's normal. I mean, my conn was never 100 ping to begin with, but the only time I've got lag is when I'm smack in the SJ American Districts. Which I avoid like the plague. In any case, it's saving me a good bit of cash for my titles.

My account got hacked and I am trying to solve this with the support team. I don't think I'm having a jolly canthan festival like I used to (Rollerbeetle, Dragon arena, New Mask).
Let's hope to not lose more than the festival.

Everything's lagging. Shing Jea's the worst, but it's amplified the usual lag problem with ZMissions too (I was getting err19'd every time I tried to do Ruins of Surmia)...

I play with lag most days anyway (yay Australia!) so it's really no different. The only difference I really feel is when you head to the Xunlai (in SJM) up the jill (easier to go Xunlai >Boardwalk from there) my computer freezes for a few seconds when I enter range of the Nine Rings but then it goes back to normal...

My GW just went spacko though so now I have to wait for it to "Repair data archives" o.O....

This whole AFK gaming is just demonstrating that they lost overview of their design.

And which part of the design is to blame?

Who would stand AFK in the freaking nine rings for days if there would not be TITLES and META-TITLES associated with the lucky title track. Plus higher lockpick retention rates, but the money spent on tickets rarely pays off for Joe Average.

They also seem to have developed an unhealthy love for "lottery" style gameplay.

It is also rather pitiful that so many players really do everything regardless how stupid it is to max their title tracks. This game has lost its soul.

I don't really get it how to max Unlucky? Maxing Lucky is doable, but Unlucky goes so slooooow, plus it has r7 of it..

I think one solution to the lag problem is to implement some of the games such as nine rings and rollerbettle all year long and have more "original" festival quests. I know it would help with a lot of the AFK problems as you could do it anytime rather than over a weekend and it would freshen up the festivals. I absolutely love A-net for the festivals it is something since day one I thought was an awesome idea and it is still fun but a little update to the quests and such would be nice.

because its cheaper then buying lock picks? because we want to work on title while we do other stuff? because its our choice to do it? pitiful? lol its pitiful you think that way about afk people. XD and tickets gets you gifts when a pick "maybe" get you a item worth the price of a pick. XD

For unlucky, pick a corner ring. You lose more tickets faster that way.

People don't log on to play in these events, they log on to work on their "God AFK Amongst Mere Mortals" title.

I've been doin basically the same as OP, seeing as more than half of my guild is online and AFK. Been trying to find ways to keep myself occupied.

So just curious, if you start AFK'ing now, can you even max lucky/unlucky before GW2 releases? It requires 30 days of afking, and I don't think the games appear for often or long, so probably not.

I didn't bother with it all these years because GWAMM didn't seem at all attainable to me, but I might have the other more regular titles done in another 8 months, at the slow rate I'm playing these days, so I'm starting to think about it. Probably too late for me though.

Lately I've been losing interest in GW and have/had 200k or so to spend, with no idea on what. It's all going towards l/u titles. about 110,000 lucky points so far this weekend.

Yeah... I complained about AFK title years ago, but everyone told me to shove it at the time.

It's pretty retarded, and defeats the purpose of GW being a GAME not an AFK.

Also, think of the massive amount of electricty being wasted because people leave their CPUs running all day/night. Shame on you, A.net.

I always stand on corners, and get like 5k unlucky points, which means I'd have to AFK 100 days to max it..

Easy fix for afk add a activity monitor to the client if you don't move in a selected time frame you are disconnected from the server. Many online games have such a system already, Guild Wars is just a funny game in the regard that it does not.
